Yellow Cedar driftwood on Juniper with Iron Spike
Escaping from log-jambs in storms, small badly checked scraps of prized Alaskan yellow cedar occasionally wash up on the shores of Puget Sound. A large spike had been pounded through this particular piece of drift wood. Legacy was carved around the existing spike. Orca is quintessential North West and, like many other native species, it has been experiencing a marked decline in its population. “Legacy”, speaks to the environmental devastation that future generations will inherit from us, if we fail to drastically change course.
