Take the term Drought and think of all the negative connotations it brings to mind.  Is there another side to be seen?  When things get stressful, (ie. recession or depression), the reaction is to draw in, conserve, consolidate, regroup, sustain, rebuild, slow down, all of which are essential to long term survival.

This piece takes a look at the beauty and the very real positives surrounding concepts that tend to elicit a knee-jerk negative reaction.  Earth Worms hibernate in response to cold or drought stress.  In drought stress the response is termed estivation, and the worm ties itself into a tight knot to conserve moisture and minimize expenditure.  The ever-working, and ever-present Earth worm, on break, resting, wrapped tightly, and glistening with its own moisture.
